Glam Keys

For anyone who has a pinterest, I'm sure you've seen both the keys that have been personalized with glitter, and the keys that are customized with glitter. Well, I decided to combine the two. The main idea behind painting your keys is so that you can tell them apart at a glance- but for me, I only have one key, So I'm dressing it up so that it can be worn as jewelry that is cute and has a function.

I took my key and rinsed it and dried it. I wasn't sure the best way to achieve the look I was going for, so at first I tried layering different colors of paint. I just used the brush that came with the nail polish
The first color I used is a nice chunky silver glitter with pretty prismatic flakes from ICE brand.  I did couple of coats of this until the key was nice and glittery.

And then I put a pretty pink color with very fine glitter on top. If I were to re-do this project, I would mix the two colors up before hand. After this I sealed it with a clear nail polish that had some chunks of glitter in it. Using a polish like that works to add more glam, and protect the sheen of your glitter polish.
