Autumn Dyrid

This was my first water color that I attempted....which seems bizarre since it's also the hardest one I've ever tried...but well, I like doing things the hard way.
I sketched the dyrid onto the canvas first, then created the background using salt, burnt umber, burnt sienna, yellow ochre and a few nameless colors from a metalic pallet. After that I did a light wash over her hair, wings, and the bark.

Now I've done a light wash of color over her skin, lips, and around her eyes. I've also began to darken and define the wings, hair, and bark.
