    Wow. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got this book from the clearance rack at Barnes and Noble, but I was blown away. From the very beginning this book grabbed my attention, dragged me in and kept me mesmerized until the very last page. This is not really a mystery novel, but there was still plenty of joy, suspense, plot twists, fear, and anguish. I had no desire to put it down, and was pleasantly surprised to find that this fictional work has a streak of non-fiction in it. The ending was sad. I am not normally a fan of sad ending books- but in this case it was the perfect fit.
